Allegra has worked in development for 20 years, beginning with her Peace Corps experience in Gabon. She is currently the executive director of Le Korsa, an NGO working in the health, education, and agricultural sectors of Senegal. She has a passion for social justice and female empowerment, and earned a masters degree in women’s studies where she focused on the role of women in international development. In her free time Allegra is an avid hockey mom, and loves books, dogs, and gardening, which she learned during her time in Gabon. She enjoys travel and visiting new countries where she always brings home fun new recipes to try in the kitchen.
